Taking Inventory

The Covid-19 Pandemic affected everyone. It was a year full of turmoil of all kinds. Being unable to leave the house, much less the country, messed with my head. I love being amongst people.

In an effort to keep my idle mind busy, I tasked myself with a project to gather and photograph all of the precious objects I’d collected on my travels around the world. These are things on display at our home, but no one could visit to see them, and so in an afternoon, I set up a mini studio in my dining room and got down to the business of taking photographs of tokens of my travel to share on Instagram. So for at least that afternoon, I had work to do. It was a good reminder that the world was still out there—it was only paused.
